Glockenspiel Partners with Habitat for GivingTuesday

The Glockenspiel Restaurant celebrated Giving Tuesday with a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity.  The restaurant provided lunch and dinner specials and a portion of all sales were donated to North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity.

“I’m honored that Glockenspiel partnered with Habitat for Humanity and helped us raise money to build affordable housing. It’s partnerships like these that make the difference and allow us to do what we do,” said Wendy Patton, Executive Director of Habitat.  “It was a real win-win on Giving Tuesday as people were able to enjoy a wonderful meal and know they were doing good for family in their community.

Thank you Glockenspiel for partnering with Habitat for Humanity on this Giving Tuesday.”

The Glockenspiel is a long-time Habitat supporter.  “We were pleased to support this fundraising campaign in partnership with Habitat.  Habitat provided t-shirts for all our employees to enjoy the day and promote the event,” said Kelsi Weeks, General Manager of the Glockenspiel Restaurant.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable mortgages. Locally, North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity has built homes with 45 families since 1986.
